October Blog – Laughter

Another month has past us by, and we are now in the flow of October. Hope everyone is well and so we move on this month from’rest’ looking at the pie chart segments of the wellness pot, next up ‘Laughter’, why and the essential benefits it will/can create mind body and soul.

This month is short and sweet, ah you will be pleased to know , as we all know by now i love to have a good old natter, love it, hahaha. On that note lets get going with it and simple facts behind Laughter benefits coming up..

Why is laughter important for health?

Laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulates your heart, lungs and muscles, and increases the endorphins that are released by your brain.

Equally when our body releases endorphins, which are natural painkillers, and serotonin, our natural anti-depressant, contributing to an immediate boost in mood.

My classes and my joint Walk and Tone UK outdoor fitness class, pride ourselves on this element of, have fun and get fit at the same time. Laughing together within your Community classes clearly makes us happier mentally, the social connections.

Laughter is not necessary for survival granted, but it can have many benefits for physical and mental well-being. Laughing can reduce stress, improve mood, and even boost the immune system. Additionally, laughing with others can strengthen social bonds and improve relationships. As I always say we are ‘in it together’ within that self care journey. Therefore, encouraging each other to be social and laugh together is a wonderful thing. This can be done simple by joining a class of mine or a Walk& Tone session, we always combine the element of fun in everything we do, like minded people chat and laugh. Or seek it out with friends and family.

Interesting 🧐 enough studies have shown from Norway, it can actually lengthen your life. Laughter! 🤭 yes laughter can do that! In the study, researchers looked at 50,000 people for 15 years and found that those with a sense of humour lived an average of 8 years longer than their stern counterparts.

So what are you waiting for, go seek out some fun, that 100% good feeling of well-being injection in your life.

Practising positivity is about nurturing an optimistic attitude remember – embracing the present moment as if it was your last. Something i feel strongly about day in day out ,proud to say i live this way, its the only way i say.

This month it’s ‘F’ F is for Focus (The a-z of positivity, Anna Barnes 2023)

Modern life is full of distractions. We all try to juggle numerous aspects of our lives, jumping from one thing to the next, often spreading ourselves too thin to everything done, seldom giving our complete focus to one task at a time. Then on top of that, technological distractions buzz and keep at us and pull us out of concentrations.

If you find yourself easily distracted, prone to daydreaming or picking up your phone too often to check for notifications, fear not there are ways to improve your focus and gain a more positive mindset. The key is to banish bad habits an develop good ones. Remove distractions and take one self to a calm space where you wont be bothered and will instead be able to give each task your full attention. One thing at at time.

“Focus and Simplicity…once you get there you can move mountains” (Steve Jobs)

See you all in our wonderful classes and Walk&Tone moving forward within the month, for a good workout and laughter of course combined! Ciao now you wonderful lot.

Big love xx
